Sustainable economics & exchange organization.WWOOF started 50 years ago and has grown to a worldwide community of hundreds of thousands of people today. From the beginning, national WWOOF organisations grew individually in countries but with a shared mission to educate people through hands-on and inspiring cultural exchanges, and support local farmers who are feeding their communities and training the next generation of farmers.
In 2012, the Federation of WWOOF Organisations (FoWO) was created to act as a democratic organisation for national WWOOF groups to work together worldwide. FoWO’s mission is to unite, promote, protect and support the WWOOF movement around the world.
