The Rainforest Foundation
Holistic ecology organization.Founded by Trudie Sytler and Sting, The Rainforest Foundation is based on the idea of indigenous people — those intimately connected to their ancestral lands — having the legal right to protect the forests we all depend on.
At the time it was founded, environmental organizations didn't generally focus on Human Rights, but following the advice of the Kayapo (an Indigenous community living deep in the Brazilian Amazon), Trudie Sytler and Sting decided put their media influence behind indigenous people that were working to protect their rainforest lands.
