Project Food Forest

Project Food Forest was founded in 2016 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The goal is to encourage, empower, and equip people to plant and care for edible plants all over. The scope of the work includes planting public food forests; implementing programs that add edible trees and shrubs to existing public landscaping; designing low-maintenance edible landscapes for private clients in South Dakota, Minnesota and beyond; and educating the public about planting, harvesting, preserving, and eating low-maintenance edible landscapes through classes, workshops, and online resources.
