Robert Bateman

Canadian painter, environmentalist, naturalist. In 1999, the Audubon Society of Canada declared Bateman one of the top 100 environmental proponents of the 20th century. His work is supported by the Bateman Foundation, a charity whose mandate is to "challenge the public and society's leaders to a new dialogue about our relationship with nature through strategic partnerships, research, collaboration and public education."
